My partner and I spotted some strange lights on Christmas eve at 19:45 as we were driving back into our street in Normanton

There were two lights (glowing orange/red as if on fire) about 1000ft up and side by side. There was no sound from these objects, then after about 30 seconds these objects ascended into the atmosphere, because it was a clear night they could still
be seen for a long time as they ascended, until they eventually disappeared from sight. Straight after those two came another two which did the exact same as the first two, then another two after that, totalling 6 all together.
As a none believer in anything alien I must admit I was a little scared as I'd never seen anything like this before.I stayed awake most of the night trying to make sense of what we'd seen.
Then about three weeks later my partner saw another one, at about 19:00 as he was having a cigarette break outside his work on dewsbury road, he was with about five other staff members who all saw the same as he did.
I was going to report our first sighting but felt a bit daft in case nobody else had seen anything, until I read the article by Nick Rigg your sports reporter who seems to have seen a very similar object(s).
