CITY bosses of businesses with turnovers of £500,000 to £2m have the chance to expand and broaden their horizons at an international seminar.
Wakefield business leader Dennis Gillibrand is currently playing a key role in the expansion of the world’s leading chief executives’ organisation Vistage International.
He joined Vistage in 2002 from his role as chief executive of Thermal Engineering International, based in Wakefield. And now he is launching the region’s 11th group at Cedar Court next month.
Mr Gillibrand, who has board-level experience of national and multi-national organisations in the public and private sector, said: “An increasing number of company bosses in Yorkshire are realising the advantage Vistage can give them over their competitors. For those small business leaders – many of whom are experiencing this tough economic climate for the first time – this group helps them to make the right decisions and power their businesses to the next level.”
Vistage International has 15,000 members in 16 countries. They meet in groups for monthly development sessions and act as each other’s non-executive directors and ‘sounding boards’ to help to make better decisions and achieve better results for their businesses.
The event in Wakefield takes place at Cedar Court Hotel on Thursday, September 11 between 8am and 4.30pm.
Guest speaker Paul Sykes from Speaker’s Friend, who helps bosses to communicate the right messages, will be giving a presentation.
