Award caps a 'great year'

A CITY building company has received a top award for its contribution to the Chinese market during the past five years.
Greens Power Limited, an independent company which concentrates on building and developing manufacturing facilities around the world, has won the UK Outward Investor of the Year award at the 48 Group Club’s annual award ceremony.

Judges described the company’s success as “a remarkable turnaround” and recognised the business contribution it has made to made to the Chinese market over the past five years.

Greens Power, based on Denby Dale Road, has established three highly successful factories in China and a fourth is under construction, helped by funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

Frank Ellis, managing director of Greens Power Limited, said: “We are absolutely delighted to win such a prestigious award. It is a reflection of the hard work we have put in and our long-established reputation. David Smithies, senior manager, commercial banking at RBS in Bradford, said: “The award is well-deserved and caps a great year for Greens. They have successfully captured a growing marketplace and I would hope this is the first of many awards as their business continues to grow.”
