A COMPUTER cartridge refill company has thrown its weight behind an environmentally friendly motor racing team.
Cartridge World, based on Kirkgate, will be running two Seat Leon cars in the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship in 2009.

The team has a zero carbon policy and works hard to try and minimise all its emissions.

It also tries to offset and balance its emisions by running energy efficient projects in Africa allowing the team to race ‘carbon zero’.

Phil Trickey, of Wakefield Cartridge World, said: “Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing is similarly striving to address the issue of climate change with the vision that motorsport must be part of the solution, not the problem.

“The cars will use bio fuels and the team is working with a number of partners to showcase reliable automotive technologies to produce more efficient road-going vehicles.”
