A TRIO of former bank managers have chosen the "vibrant, up-and-coming business" city of Wakefield as the home for their latest venture.
Paul Massie, Wayne Goodman and Ian Hart have formed Platinum Money, a company to arrange all types of business, commercial, property investment and development finance. Their plans also include commercial mortgages, bridging finance, cash flow and asset finance.
The three former Royal Bank of Scotland managers have more than 40 years’ experience in the UK’s financial services sector.
They believe they have found a niche in the market and that their choice of base, at Calder Business Park, is the perfect location for their business to flourish.
Director Paul Massie said: “We chose Wakefield due to its location close to the M1, providing easy access for clients and business partners, and also because the city is such a vibrant, up-and-coming business area.
“We tend to find that many business owners and property developers are very good at what they do, but could be even more successful if they had someone pro-actively looking after their funding arrangements. By bringing us in for an hour or two for free, we can review the existing funding arrangements and spot opportunities to save money.”
Platinum will then find a suitable lender, acting in a consultancy role for any deals that need to be made.
Mr Massie said: “We earn our money from the lenders meaning in most cases we do not need to charge clients directly.
“In the present climate the market is tough, with some lenders not willing to lend in certain sectors. With our experience, we can structure a deal in the most attractive way for a lender and we also know the market inside out so know where to look to find deals.”
