AN inventive father and son have floored their customers with a creative tiling system.
Neil and Jordan Cook, of Polyurethane Progress, Thornes, have designed a unique floor tile, that is engineered for quick and easy covering and is recyclable.

Floor-Essence are interlocking tiles that can be taken up at any time and moved around, s
o if you move house, you can take them with you.

Jordan Cook, 20, said: “They are so easy – they just clip together, so an entire floor can be put down in minutes. We spent months researching the market and there’s nothing like this around. We first came up with the idea when we needed flooring for a garage at home.

“It has taken about a year and a half to develop and it seems a lot more advantageous than similar products.”

Floor-Essence tiles come in 22 different colours and can even be custom designed with names, logos and pictures.

Mr Cook said: “They can be mainly used for garages and things like car showrooms but they’re also perfect for things like playrooms as they are so easily cleanable. And the bonus is, if you get bored with the pattern, you can easily unclip them and move them around.”

Polyurethane Progress has been in the city for 22 years and has grown to include two other showrooms. For more information, visit www.floor-essence.co.uk
