letter - No money on trees
I must reply to Mr Wildie’s Hands Off Health Care letter (Express, April 27).
1 commentLetter - Same old, same old
WELL, the local election results are in and it’s the ‘same old same old’ which is not surprising considering that out of 257,530 people in the Wakefield district who are eligible to vote, only 73,180 bothered to do so (although an additional 367 did vote in the mayoral referendum).
1 commentLetter - No cause for celebration
IF you lost a child in a grocery store among the cabbages and lentils, it would be understandably worrisome. If you lost the same in a large multi-level department store, it would be panic time. But if you lost an empire, as has happened during this monarch’s reign, how could you possibly excuse it, never mind celebrate it?
3 comments...but I’ll have a party
I WAS interested in the letter from HM Queen reproduced in the Express.
1 commentLetter - Fuss over Hepworth
MY wife and I decided to visit the Hepworth and see what our money had been spent on and what the fuss was about.
