WAKEFIELD CAMERA CLUB: Is holding a demonstration at Curry's Wakefield store (Ings Rd)  Saturday morning over the Bank holiday weekend. Digital photography exhibition, independent help and advice in choosing a camera, the use of computer software and the advantages of joining a camera club to improve your photography.
 
NEW EXHIBITION OF ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY:  Gallery Arts will be holding a new exhibition and sale of art and photography, at St Catherine's Church, Wakefield.  The aim of Gallery Arts is to promote and encourage visual art and a variety of original paintings by local artists in oil, pastel and watercolour and acrylics will be on show along with photographic prints from photography groups. The Church is on Doncaster Road, near the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Rugby ground and is open from 10am-6pm on Friday 3rd and from 10am- 5pm on Saturday September 4. There will be a preview of the event between 7pm-9pm on Thursday September 2. It is hoped this will be one of the largest exhibitions in Wakefield and that many people will come along to see it. SUNDAY SERVICE:  Come and join us on Sunday at Destiny – were everyone has a future! ANNUAL SHOW: Gardeners at St John's Allotments are holding their Annual Flowers and Produce Show on Sunday August 29 on the Site (between 61-63 St John's Mount, Wakefield). Classes (for Plot Holders only) include Vegetables, Flowers, Fruit, Baking, Preserves and Children's. Proceeds of the Produce Auction and Raffle will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Home-made Cakes/Jams/Pickles etc. will be available to purchase with FREE ENTRY from 2pm. Onwards. Come and see what this Gardening Community can produce!

SUMMER FAIR: West Riding Nursing Home Summer Fair, Lingwell Gate Lane, will be held on September 4 and everyone will be made very welcome. (I don't know what time this will be, but no doubt it will be in the afternoon).

ELEMENTALS MOOT WAKEFIELD: They meet on the first Thursday of the month, in the upstairs function room at Henry Boon's, next to Westgate station. The moot starts at 7.30pm with any organised discussions/workshops. They aim to create a friendly environment for pagans to meet, learn from each other and discover what is going on in the local pagan community. They are an open group for open minded people on all walks of the pagan path and welcome all new members.
