EGG HUNT: Easter egg hunt from Crofton Community Centre on Tuesday, March 30, starting at 1pm. Lots of Easter activities – visit the Community Centre to register. More details next week.

NOSTELL: There will be three fixtures this weekend for Nostell MWFC teams. Tomorrow the first team are at Liversedge, meet at 12.45pm for a 3pm kick off. The reserves are at home tomorrow against East End Park, meet at 1.15pm for a 2.30pm kick off. On Sunday the under 17 side have an away match at Wath St James. On Thursday, the under 19s are at Barton Town, meet at 5.30pm.

SPORTS: Games for tomorrow for Crofton Sports AFC are as follows: the first team are at Snydale Athletic, meet 12.30pm for a 2.30pm kick off. The reserves are at Kingston United in the Jim Callaghan Cup, meet 12.30pm for a 2.15pm kick off, and the third team are at home to Snydale Athletic in the semi final of the League Cup, meet at 12.30pm for a 2.15pm kick off.

SONGS OF PRAISE: On Sunday at Crofton Parish Church a songs of praise service starts at 6pm.

PARISH PLAN: A meeting took place last week in the parish centre to discuss the draft plan, which has recently been produced, and will soon be submitted to WMDC to be included in the Local Development Framework.

CROWN GREEN: A meeting took place last Friday at the Crofton Community Centre to register new teams for the forthcoming season.

COMMUNITY CAFÉ: Go along to the Crofton Parish Centre tomorrow from 10am until noon, enjoy a cuppa and receive an Easter special.

SHAY PRIMARY: Year five and six pupils arrived home safely last week after spending a week at Cober Hill in Scarborough.

CROFTON INFANTS: Today children can wear items of sports wear instead of their uniforms to help raise money for Sports Relief. A Mothers' Day service took place last Friday.

WALKS: From the car park of the Anglers' Country Park on Sunday, March 21, starting at 2pm, an organised walk of between one and one-and-a-half hours will take place. Meet in front of the house at Nostell Priory on Sunday for a walk, starting at 10.30am.

MOTHERS: The meeting on Thursday, March 25 for members of Crofton Mothers' Club, will be a talk at Crofton Community Centre by a representative from the British Heart Foundation, starting at 8pm.

DARBY AND JOAN: Cakes, buns, breads and pies were in abundance this week at Crofton WMC, when Darby and Joan members held a cake stall. Next meeting Wednesday, March 31.
HEALTH CENTRE: Crofton Health Centre will be fundraising today for the Marie Curie Foundation. 66 patients missed turning up for their appointments at the Crofton Health Centre during February.

STAMPS: Seven dogs and three cats are amongst the new stamps celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home which are currently on sale.

FAIR: There will be an Easter fair at Crofton Infants School on Tuesday, March 23, at 2pm.

WILLOW: Go along to the Waterton Discovery Centre on Sunday, March 28 and see what you can make with willow. Starts 10.30am, no need to book.
