CHURCH SERVICES: At St Swithun's community centre on Sunday at 10.15am, the Lent Three Holy Communion Service will be led by John Milne, preacher Enid Watson, readings taken from Isaiah and Luke will be by Audrey Warrington and prayers for the church, community and world will be by Ali Brooks. Refreshments will be served following the service.

YOUTH SERVICE: St Andrew's Church, Sunday 4pm, the Children's Worship service will be led by the Rev Dawn Ingham.

LEISURE TALK: St Swithun's, Monday 1-3pm: Simply Leisure will listen to an historical talk by Kate Taylor, who will also have her books on sale. Entrance is £1 and includes refreshments.

YOUNG FUN: At St Andrew's church on Thursday March 11, 9.15 - 11.15am, the Little Fishes group for toddlers, mums and carers will meet. Entrance is £1 per child and includes toast, fruit and a drink.

TRINITY SERVICES: The 26th Anniversary will be celebrated at Trinity Methodist church on Sunday when the services at 10.45am and 6pm will be conducted by Rev John L Forster, BA. Lunch will be served after the morning service.

BOWLING EVENT: There will be an open bowling event on Sunday. This is a mixed pairs competition for any bowlers who do not play regularly for Wakefield Bowls Club. The competition starts at 10am and food and drinks are available during the day. Any interested bowling pairs, please contact Mr S Allingham on 01924 373355 before March 5. If you are interested in watching top-class bowling, please come along.

WAKEY BUS: The organisers of the Wakey Bus are looking to recruit volunteer drivers and escorts. They would also like to hear from anyone who wishes to volunteer for the Re-Connect service. For further information, contact Richard on 01924 274400.
