WATERBABIES ARE BACK: Following its refurbishment Rothwell Sports Centre is once again fully operational and, as a result, Waterbabies classes will be restarting on Monday. Any baby above the age of three months can attend, but there must be one adult accompanying every child. The classes are aimed at building water confidence and are suitable for children up to the age of four. Teacher Jim Pedley has just completed a specialist ASA-training course in adult and child swimming teaching. Mini water polo is also being held at the centre on Saturdays from 5pm to 6pm. Classes are aimed at the seven-11-year-old age group, so if you like team games and can swim 25m, why not give it a go? For more information, contact the centre on 0113 282 4110 or visit www.primary-sport.co.uk

FAREWELL: Catherine Lea will no longer going to be writing the Rothwell community news column, so if you fancy taking it over, just get in touch with Dean Mellor at the Wakefield Express on 01924 433013 or e-mail deanmellor@wakefieldexpress.co.uk. And in the meantime, if you have any stories or information for the Rothwell column, send them to editorial@wakefield express.co.uk
