THORNES HOUSE SCHOOL 1983 LEAVERS REUNION : The reunion took place at Wrenthorpe WMC week before last and nearly 80 ex Thornes House School pupils attended who all left the school back in 1983.
Thank you to each and everyone for making a night to remember Thank you to Dean Hubert for the 80'S CD's he did for me and to Diane and Amanda for all their help too.

YOUNG AT HEART GROUP : Young at Heart group meet every Thurs at the community centre 1.30-3.30 all over 55 welcome.

SURE MUMS NEW MUM AND TODDLER GROUP : Every Thursday 9.30 till 11.30am for ages birth - 5 years.At Agbrigg / Belle Vue Community Centre, Montague Street Agbrigg. £2.00 per mum which includes a prize draw and refreshments.Please come and find out more about SURE mums with different activities weekly for both mums and kids , open in school holidays for all ages too ! VANDALISM AND FLY TIPPING : I had a phone call from a local resident about these issues near the garages at the end of Maybush Road. Can all local people near there please keep an eye out and report anything untoward to the police or council please.

KITE FESTIVAL : Details of this festival will be in the coming few weeks as the festival normally takes place in September sometimes at Heath Common and this year I would like to ask as many people from this area as possible to make a kite at home and bring it to the festival. I would like local residents to take part this year with their very own DIY kites.

TRIVIA QUIZ : The correct answer to last weeks trivia question " Where abouts in Wakefield did there used to be a cattle market ? " is Denby Dale Road jcn with George Street where the Royal Mail delivery office is now. Thank you and well done to Paul Loakman who was the first person to text in the correct answer. Thank you also to Susan Chafer ,Andrea Devenney ,Ben Jennings,Martin Lovell ,Harry Gill ,Brian from Peacock ,Geoff Rogerson ,Carol Bartle , Christine Todd and Maz Beckett and Gerry Firth who all sent in the answer as well This weeks trivia question is "What did Benjamin Waugh of Settle found "?.If you think you know the answer please e-mail or text me, no googling !!!
