Letter - A credit to all involved
LAST Autumn I underwent heart surgery under the joint care of the cardiology Unit at Pinderfields and the cardiothoracic surgery Unit at Leeds General Infirmary.
This treatment was excellent and a credit to all involved. An unexpected bonus was, after surgery, I was looked after by the cardiac liaison nurses and cardiac rehabilitation teams from Pinderfields. The latter are based at Thornes Park Athletic Stadium and comprise specialist nurses, physiotherapists, exercise instructors and dietitians.
Their contribution to regaining confidence and mobility and adopting sensible living habits was very valuable and not to be missed. The sessions are very informal, great fun, and it was good to meet with others with similar problems.
I am now rehabilitated and wish to thank the Pinderfields teams for delivering such excellent and comprehensive care.
