Letter - Marvellous shoppers

I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped me when I fell over in the Ridings.

I lost my balance and fell backwards on the escalator, hitting my head which caused me to black out.

People suddenly stopped and did whatever they could to help, shouting to have the escalator stopped. Staff soon came to help and one person went into a shop to buy tissues for my head which was bleeding. A couple phoned an ambulance and an off-duty nurse tended to my head while it got there.

I got out of hospital last Friday and think it is marvellous how helpful staff and shoppers were. Thank you so much.
