Egg attack was a waste
I WAS shocked to learn that one of our newly-elected MEPs was struck by an egg.
It was an appalling act perpertrated by people who ought to know that large parts of our world suffer from a food shortage.
They should not be going around lobbing a perfectly good source of protein at politicians, irrespective of their politics.
In bygone days, cabbages and tomatoes were the ammunition of choice of Chartists and suffragettes. Perhaps the stereotypical, multi-culturalist, global-warming militant Guardian readers could research their targets and very their culinary assassinations.
For the next time, may I suggest that before they lob breakfast at him, asking first if he wants the full English or Continental.
