Gallery is an 'ugly thing'
As the bus takes me into town via Doncaster Road I see a large sign at the entrance into the Kirkgate end of town.
The sign tells me soon I will be looking at a dazzling new waterfront.
How can that be when the next thing I see is the ugliest building I have ever seen? Yes – The Hepworth.
The costs of this are beyond belief to see a grey dump that none of Wakefield's general public want and will not be visiting.
Speaking of visitors, how many will try to arrive by train to Kirkgate Station and risk being mugged or raped?
What lovely surroundings to set the monstrosity on – but who am I to comment? Well, I am one of many who hate the sight of the ugly thing.
