None of that 1960s charm
AM I the only person in Wakefield praying that the new Hepworth building will not be remaining the colour it is at present?
According to artists' impressions on the internet it certainly looks as though there will be changes made to the outside appearance.
I drive past this building every day to and from work and each time I look at it the colour reminds me of a 1960s throwback with none of the charm.
Surely the people deserve something more cheerful to look at? How about painting it white, or cream or even pink?
I have no quibble about the actual design of the building. I think the shape is distinctive and very
different.
But please planners, change the colour scheme. Please don't leave the good folk of Wakefield stuck with dreary dungeon gray.
