Councillors are immoral

WE are all well aware of our ministers' excessive and invalid expenses claims.

It is, perhaps, nice to know that many of these claims are under review, and perhaps some results from that will be published.
My main concern, however, after reading in the Express of councillors' 'holidays', is to ask whether the Wakefield councillors' expenses are all legal and above board?
Information tells me that, even on a three-month holiday, expenses are still claimed.
If a meeting is attended for only the time to sign in, expenses for that meeting can be claimed.
It doesn't matter which party they belong to, to claim expenses like that is absolutely immoral.
Regarding excessive holidays, when you take on a responsible job like a councillor, I would expect you to be available all the time.
Perhaps councillors could respond to this by advising the Express whether they do, or do not, abuse the system?
It's our money they are abusing.

I wonder is the councillors running our local authority or is it the employed quango's. Councillors did work at one time and do their council duties for expenses but now they are paid a living wage, did they ask the ra
