Junior Triathlon
SPORTING stars from across the district descended on Thornes Park at the weekend for the Wakefield Junior Triathlon.
Almost 100 youngsters aged between eight and 14 from across the region, ran, swam and cycled their way to success at the event on Saturday.
Many of the competitors were from the Wakefield Junior Tri Club based at the park.
Organiser, and club coach Ian O'Brien said the second annual event was a huge success despite heavy rain.
