Royal visit for Wakefield

PRINCESS Anne whizzed through Wakefield today to officially open the new pathology building at Pinderfields Hospital.

Arriving by helicopter into Yorkshire, the Princess had a number of engagements in the county before coming to the Merrie City.

Children from the hospital's Abacus Nursery lined the walkway with flags and builders on the development site downed tools to see the royal visitor.
