A BOLD walking event born out of the 2005 London bombings is coming to Wakefield.
Gill Hicks, who lost both her legs in the July 7 attacks, has organised the Walk Talk, which aims to encourage interaction between people from different backgrounds.

The event will be stopping in Wakefield on its route between London and Leeds.
She will be joined by her husband, Joe Kerr, and workers from peace charities Global Promise and Together for Peace, encouraging people to join the walk as it passes through their town.

A strictly non-political event, it will encourage an environment where people can listen to each other and discuss different opinions.

The walk will arrive in Wakefield on Monday, July 21, when people are invited to join the group at St Michael's Church, Westgate End, at 3pm to walk to Treacy Hall, next to the cathedral.

There will be another opportunity to join the walk on Tuesday, July 22 at 10am, when the group will walk from Wakefield Town Hall to Thornes Park, Denby Dale Road.

Refreshments will be provided. Organisers ask that people joining the walk register beforehand by logging on to www.walktalk.org.uk
