FLOOD waters destroyed thousands of pounds worth of stock and forced a Middlestown business to close for a month.
Go Outdoors, on Hostingley Lane, was submerged under a foot of water while the carpark and tent site were transformed into a giant six foot deep lake.

Store manager David Addy, 32, said: "A substantial amount of money was lost, we had to close for four weeks and rip everything out.

"During that time staff worked with contractors to sort everything out."

The shop, which lies at the bottom of a hill, was not just hit by the main floods on June 25 but also suffered two more deluges afterwards.

Mr Addy said: "There was a huge amount of rain but also it was down to the position of the store."
