Girls hurt in car collision

TWO girls are still in hospital following a collision with a car in Normanton on Friday night.
Three girls were walking near the Hark to The Mopsey Pub on Wakefield Road when they were in collision with a Ford Focus at 9.10pm.

One of the girls remains in a serious but stable condition in Leeds General Infirmary and the second is stable in Pinderfields Hospital. The third suffered minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses. The Ford Focus was travelling towards Normanton on Wakefield Road when the accident happened.

A man arrested in connection with incident has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
