TIME is running out for residents to have their say on whether a waste disposal facility should be built in Normanton.
Normanton Industrial Estate, on Havertop Lane, is one of several sites being considered by Wakefield Council for the proposed facility.

A public consultation will finish on Wednesday into how residents feel about the plans for the construction of two waste facilities, which might also be built in South Kirkby or Castleford.

Plans will be revised and submitted to the secretary of state next spring before another consultation period. To view the council's preferred options report, visit www.wakefield.gov.uk/ldf

Comments can be made by e-mailing ldf@wakefield.gov.uk or writing to Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, Spatial Policy Group, Planning Services, PO Box 92, Newton Bar, Wakefield, WF1 1XS.

To let us know what you think about the proposals e-mail louise.hall@wakefieldexpress.co.uk or telephone (01924) 433037.
