A GANG of men who allegedly attacked a taxi and shouted abuse at the driver in Gawthorpe are being hunted by police.
Police said the men ran towards the black Vauxhall Astra as it waited for a gap in traffic close to Bridle Lane and Bridle Place on Saturday March 15, at around 6.20pm.

Another car, possibly a Mercedes, pulled up in front and attempted to phone police before a passing patrol stopped.

A 17-year-old local youth was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated damage to a motor vehicle and was released on police bail.

Anyone with any information should contact the police detections unit at Wakefield on 01924 294427.
