M1 reopens after traffic accident

THE southbound lane on the M1 motorway has reopened following a smash on the junction 38 slip road earlier today (Thursday).
A man was taken to Pinderfields hospital after his silver Vauxhall Astra was in a collision with a HGV just before 1.20pm.
Police closed both lane one south bound at junction 39 and lane one northbound at junction 38 shortly afterwards.
