Man arrested after girls hurt

A MAN has been arrested after three teenage pedestrians were hurt in a collision with a car last night (Friday).
The three girls were near the Hark to The Mopsey Pub on Wakefield Road, Normanton when the collision with a Ford Focus happened.
A police spokeswoman said one of the girls was taken to hospital with serious injuries. She is in a serious but stable condition in Leeds General Infirmary.
The other two pedestrians suffered minor injuries, which needed treatment.
The incident happened at 9.10pm, Friday May 9 and police are appealing for witnesses. The Ford Focus was travelling towards Normanton on Wakefield Road when it was involved in a collision with the girls.
The man arrested in connection with the incident is currently being questioned by police.
