Man died of brain haemorrhage - inquest told

A MAN arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly died from a brain haemorrhage after spending 24 hours in police custody – an inquest heard.
Keith Mark Camm, 43, was taken to Wood Street Police Station, in Wakefield City centre after being arrested in Ossett town centre on June 17, 2004.
Officers had first believed he was drunk.
But they took Mr Camm to Pinderfields Hospital when they became concerned about his condition.
Mr Camm, of Sunny Dale Street, Ossett, was then transferred to Leeds General Infirmary where he died on June 29, 2004, from a brain condition he could have had since birth, the hearing at Wakefield Town Hall was told.
Doctors found he had incurable brain damage.
And pathologist Dr Kenneth Shorrock told the hearing that Mr Camm may have appeared drunk because of his condition.
The hearing, which is expected to last six weeks, continues.
