RUNNERS are raring to go for this Sunday's Wakefield Hospice 10k Road Race.
The race will start on Gill Syke Road, follow Denby Dale Road to the city centre and turn onto Westgate before finishing in Clarence Park. At 9.45am the wheelchair race gets under way and runners will follow at 10am.

There will also be one-mile and three-mile fun runs in the park for all ages and abilities, starting at 11.30am and 11.35am respectively.

This is the 13th annual race and is the Aberford Road hospice’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Organiser Helen Rowlands said: “It really is a great chance for everyone to get active.”

For details, visit www.wakefield  hospice.org or call Ms Rowlands on 01924 213900 or e-mail helen.r owlands@wakefieldhospice.co.uk
