A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has admitted killing promising Horbury Town footballer Ross Wood.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, from Mirfield, pleaded guilty to Mr Wood's manslaughter at Leeds Crown Court today.

Mr Wood, 22, was attacked in the early hours of November 17 last year, outside the HQ nightclub on Huddersfield Road, Mirfield.

He was taken to Dewsbury and District Hospital, but died two days later.

The youth will be sentenced in June.

He was released on bail but is banned from the local area and has a curfew between 6pm and 9am.
