THE devastated family of a Wakefield man who died in a road accident have paid tribute to their kind-hearted son.
Andrew Stephen Hirst, of Airedale Heights, Lupset, died on Sunday when his Subaru Impreza failed to make a left-hand turn on Wakefield Road near Huddersfield and crashed into a wall.
His father, Derek, and mother, Margaret, said their 33-year-old son was a gentleman and would be missed by everyone.
Mr Hirst, 59, said: "Andrew was the kindest man you could ever meet. We are all shocked by what has happened and are still trying to come to terms with it."

Andrew worked as a bar manager at The Traveller's Rest pub in Mirfield.
He had recently moved in with his girlfriend of three years, 26-year-old Simone Stringer.
He was educated at West Bretton Primary School and Horbury Comprehensive.
His father said: "Everyone who met him just loved him. He was a real sports fanatic and loved playing football.
"He played throughout his teenage years and his 20s, playing for teams including Ossett Trinitarians, Mexborough and Grange Moor and Huddersfield District League side Scissett.
"He also played for a pool team at the Butcher's Arms in Wakefield. He never had a bad word to say about anybody – you really would never meet a nicer lad.
"His 29-year-old brother, Richard, is expecting a child with his partner at Christmas. It's absolutely tragic to think that Andrew will never meet his nephew. Richard is now planning on naming the baby after his brother."
An inquest opened at Wakefield Coroner's Court on Tuesday and was adjourned pending further investigations.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday at St James' Church, Chapelthorpe, at 11.45am followed by interment at Crigglestone Cemetery.
