ONE of Westgate's longest-serving landladies has died after collapsing in the pub she loved.
Kim Fairhurst, 47, who ran The Waggon for almost 13 years, died on Tuesday after suffering a massive heart attack.

To pay a tribute, leave your message in the comments section at the end of this story.

Her fiance, Steve Townsend, and son, Chris Cameron, paid tribute to the woman who 'lived life to the full'.

Mr Townsend, 43, said: "Kim was a wonderful woman. She loved her holidays and we have travelled all over the world together. I will miss her so much.

"She did a lot for charity - raffles, a race night, fancy dress. In particular she raised a lot for leukaemia charities because Chris' twin, Craig, died from the disease when he was three."

Kim, I'm missing you already. I am still coming to terms with the fact that you are not here and I'm sad and angry that someone so young and apparently fit and healthy can die so suddenly. You were a fab landlady and a great woman and life will not be the same without you. The Wagon certainly won't! I know how mad you would get when people got the pub's name wrong and I'm sorry it was wrong today - not my fault! I hope I did you justice but I know that on Tuesday everybody will do that. So many people loved you, even though you could be an argumentative sort sometimes! Miss you always Kim. Love you, Gemma xxx

Kim, you always knew how to make us laugh, serve us with a great pint, and ask us if we actually had homes to go to at closing time. You will be very sorely missed, by everyone who was lucky enough to meet you, it's just not gonna be the same without my "Hey up Bennett" when ever I saw you!
Bet you're still pouring a heavenly beer up there as we all write these!
Cheers Kim, you certainly knew how to make people feel welcome, it ain't gonna be the same in there!!!!
God Bless.

Kim, as our tears fall we think back to times gone by when you would be the strength that many of your customers needed. We'll remember all the happiness you brought throughout the years and although they are the sweetest memories we can not stop the tears.
We know life will never be the same without you and we'd like to thank you for being ther over the years.
Miss you always.
