A 60-year-old Lupset woman found collapsed in her home could have been there for days before she was discovered, an inquest heard.
Ann Hopwood, of Gloucester Road, was found unconscious on her bedroom floor.

Opening an inquest into her death, assistant deputy coroner Mary Burke told Wakefield Coroner's Court on Wednesday that Mrs Hopwood had suffered from hypothermia and renal failure before her death.

Mrs Burke said: "She was admitted to Pinderfields Hospital having been discovered unconscious on her bedroom floor. She was believed to have been there for a few days."

She never regained consiousness and died after being admitted to hospital.

The court heard the former glass factory worker, who was divorced, had been treated by her doctor for anxiety problems.

The inquest was adjourned to allow for further investigations into the cause of death.
