A little girl who wrote to Wakefield Council asking for a school Christmas tree has had her wish granted.

Alice Moran, a pupil at Martin Frobisher Infants School, Altofts, wrote to the council because she felt that the school needed a Christmas tree.

The council provided a tree and it was used to stage a Christmas carol concert to mark the end of term.
