Hundreds of beautiful blooms and exhibits were presented to judges at Wrenthorpe Gardening Club’s spring show last weekend.

Almost 100 gardening club members and villagers entered more than 300 daffodils, tulips, flower arrangements and home produce including breads, cakes and jams, into the annual contest.

There was also a class for children’s floral arrangements, which had a high standard of exhibits, although entry numbers were low.

The event took place at Wrenthorpe Village Hall on Sunday, April 5.
