DO you have what it takes to become Wakefield’s Next Top Model?

If so, the Wakefield Express is looking for you.

Following the huge success of the first ever Wakefield’s Next Top Model competition last year, where 16-year-old Ovidija Zemaityte was crowned queen of the catwalk, we’re launching our hunt to find our next future fashion star.

Open to all women, of all sizes, over the age of 16, we’re looking for an ambassador for Wakefield.

The winner will receive an introduction to top modelling agency, Catwalk Model Management, be used as the Express’ model for fashion shoots and promos, and also be the face of Trinity Walk shopping centre.

It’s an amazing launch pad for any woman with ambitions to make it as a model.

Mark Bradley, editor, said: “We had a fantastic response to last year’s competition and a great final at Trinity Walk. We’re hoping this year’s competition is going to bigger and better.”

Susan Mendoza, manager at competition sponsors Trinity Walk, said: “Last year’s competition unearthed an amazing amount of undiscovered talent, and I am really looking forward to what this year will bring.

“Trinity Walk is home to some of the UK’s biggest fashion retailers with such a wide variety of innovative styles and cutting edge fashions, making it the natural venue to showcase the best modelling talent in Wakefield.

“Last year’s grand final created a fantastic atmosphere and real buzz around the centre - however I anticipate the 2012 final will be bigger and even more exciting.”

Here’s how it works:

Send in a picture of yourself along with a completed coupon, available in this week’s Wakefield Express, and don’t worry it doesn’t have to be professional, we’re looking for raw talent.

You can also post in the coupon and e-mail your picture to lindsaypantry@wakefieldexpress.co.uk

After nominations close on July 23, all the pictures will be printed in the Express and then put to reader vote. The top tier will then make it to a second stage of reader voting, and then the final ten will be invited to a special fashion photo shoot, and then to perform at a glittering red carpet catwalk show to be held in Trinity Walk in front of a panel of judges.

All entrants will need to be available for the final event at Trinity Walk on Sunday, September 9, and fittings on Tuesday, August 28 and Friday, August 31. Hair, makeup and the clothes will be provided by Room 97 and the Trinity Walk outlets.wakefieldexpress.co.uk
