Bank holiday pharmacy opening times

Pharmacy opening times for bank holiday Mondays on May 4 and 25 have been announced by district NHS bosses.

Opening times are as follows:

Boots, Upper Kirkgate, Wakefield, will be open from 9am-5pm on May 4 and 9am-5pm on May 25.

Sainsbury’s Supermarkets, Trinity Walk, Marsh Way, Wakefield, will be open from 9am-7pm on May 4 and 9am-7pm on May 26.

Asda Supermarket, Asdale Road, Wakefield, will be open from 9am-6pm on May 4 and 9am-6pm on May 25.

Excel Chemist, High Street, Normanton, will be open from 10am-4pm on May 4 and 10am-4pm on May 25.

Boots, Beastfair, Pontefract, will be open on May 4 from 10am-4pm and 10-4pm on May 25.

Tesco Supermarket, Market Street, Hemsworth, will be open on May 4 from 11am-4pm and 11am-4pm on May 25.

Asda Supermarket, Leeds Road, Glass Houghton, will be open on May 4 from 9am-6pm and May 25 from 9am-6pm.

Eggborough Pharmacy, at Ash Grove Medical Centre, England Lane, Knottingley, will be open from noon until 2pm on May 4 and from noon until 2pm on May 25.

People have also been advised to collect prescriptions in advance of the bank holidays.

Patients can call the NHS non-emergency line on 111 if they are ill but it is not urgent.

In an emergency they should call 999.
