Black History Month continues today with a free event by the Afemai Children’s Trust on African food and music, at the Elizabethan Gallery, on Brook Street, from 2pm to 7pm.

People can also book online for free dance and djembe drumming sessions at Yorkshire Sculpture Park on Sunday, from 10.30am until 3.30pm. Visit www.ysp.co.uk for details.

Wakefield District City of Sancruary will host a free event about signposting opportunities for refugees at Quaker Meeting House, on Thornhill Street, on Monday, from 10am to noon, and another on health and wellbeing on Wednesday, also from 10am to noon.
