Blizzard hit Wakefield

Traffic is flowing again on motorways and roads after overnight snow fall and a blizzard which hit the city at around 7.30am this morning.

Wakefield council said gritting teams did the main routes twice overnight, and the snow soon started to turn to slush.

There are also no school closures to report.
