Road works on Denby Dale Road, Wakefield are causing long tailbacks.

Doncaster Road in Crofton will be closed from 10pm on Saturday, April 5 until 6am on Sunday, April 6 while bridge works take place.

Traffic will be controlled via temporary traffic lights between 9.30am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, while the works take place.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on School Hill in Newmillerdam while carriageway repairs are carried out. Delays are expected until April 2.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on George Lane while new gas mains are installed. Delays are expected until April 10.

Manor Road in Ossett will be closed for around another six weeks while a new sewer is laid. A clearly signed diversion will be in place.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Victoria Street in Outwood until April 7 while highway preparation works take place.

Horbury Road, Lawefield Lane, Park Avenue, Northfield Lane, Southfield Lane and Quarry Hill in Wakefield will all be closed on Sunday, April 6 from 8.15am to 11am while the Wakefield Hospice 10K Road Race takes place.

Thompsons Yard in Wakefield will be closed on Sunday, April 6 while a new water supply is installed. A clearly signed diversion will be in place.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Bradford Road in Wrenthorpe while new electric cables are installed.

Delays are expected until April 1.
