Two retailers have signed deals to open at Trinity Walk shopping centre.
WH Smith, which had to leave the Ridings Shopping Centre to make way for an expansion by neighbouring Primark, is fitting out a 3,000 sq ft unit at Trinity Walk.
The stationery retailer will be based inbetween Next and Jack and Jones in the shopping centre’s main mall,
Footwear retailer Clarks is also moving to a, 2,566 sq ft ground floor unit in Teall Way in Trinity Walk.
Clarks’ new store will be next to Deichmann and close to Bank, JD and H Samuel.
Both retailers expect to be open next month at the 550,000 sq ft Trinity Walk centre after deals were struck by letting agents Angermann Goddard Loyd and Lunson Mitchenall.
At the Ridings, work to expand Primark is expected to be finished , and the store tobe open, in February 2015.
Primark is expanding the size of its budget clothes store in the centre to 28,500 sq ft, moving into units previously occupied by WHSmith and Waterstones.
The Ridings has also added Feather’s Confectionery to its list of occupants after the family-owned sweet shop moved from Wakefield Market.
Trinity Walk opened in May 2011 and has more than 60 stores, with cafés, restaurants and a gym.
