Cannabis farm uncovered in Crigglestone

Police have uncovered a cannabis farm in Crigglestone.

Officers found around 60 plants at a house on New Hall Close at around 9pm last night (Wednesday).

A 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation and production of cannabis. He remains in police custody.

Insp Ian Williams said: “The plants were uncovered as a result of community intelligence. We would encourage anyone who has information about this farm or about any other cannabis production to come forward in confidence. We will always act on the information we receive.”
