WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats fans can find out more about the club’s new stadium during a special evening.
The government has given a provisional go-ahead for a community stadium to be built with a business park on Newmarket Lane near Stanley.
The club will be the stadium’s main tenant and it aims to start the 2015 season at the new ground.
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Supporters Trust is holding a Newmarket Celebration event at 7.30pm on Thursday, July 19, at the current Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Doncaster Road, Belle Vue.
The curry and comedy evening will include a forum about the new site, with fans having the opportunity to quiz chief executive James Elston, Stadium Wakefield Action Group spokesman Phil Townsend and Jonathan Stone from Residents for Newmarket.
The night will be rounded off by comedian Pete Emmett.
Tickets, costing £10 for trust members and £15 for non-members, will raise money for the Wildcats Community Trust.
