Church leaders from all denominations will gather on the steps of Wakefield Cathedral today to pray for those in need.

Today is Ash Wednesday, which marks the start of Lent, and the gathering is part of a campaign against food poverty.

It coincides with a national End Hunger Day of fasting, which the Bishop of Wakefield, Rt Rev Stephen Platten is also taking part in.
