RAMADAN HOLY MONTH: Next week sees the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and I would like to wish all members of the Muslim community in Wakefield a peaceful Ramadan. It will be hard this year as we observe a total fast from sunrise to sunset and its long days this year, but patience is the main thing in Ramadan so I am sure we will cope. Ramadan is a time for self reflection, extra prayers, showing greater tolerance and thats why its a special month to Muslims all over the world.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: Just as despair can come to one only from other human beings, hope, too, can be given to one only by other human beings.
