KETTLETHORPE TENANTS’ AND RESIDENTS’: The Kettlethorpe Tenants’ and Residents’ Association meeting due to take place on Monday, August 8 has been cancelled – apologies to everyone for such short notice. SUMMER DRAMA WORKSHOPS: Free drama workshops take place at Pennine Community, Chapelthorpe, in August for anyone aged eight and above. HISTORICAL WEEKEND: Hall Green Community Association holds a historical weekend in August. The exhibition, titled Crigglestone, another look back, will contain over 500 old photographs and memorabilia encompassing the whole of the parish. The exhibitions runs until Tuesday, August 9 at Hall Green Community Centre, Painthorpe Lane, from 2pm to 7pm. Admission £3. Refreshments available. For further information ring 01924 240776.
HEATING REPAIRS: There was a meeting of St Peter’s Church Council last Monday to approve of repairs to the church central heating system, and to make it possible to heat the Wentworth Chapel separately from the rest of the church.
STILLNESS AND PEACE: Last Monday the monthly service of stillness and peace was held in St Peter’s Church. It is held on the first Monday every month.
CHURCH CAKE STALL: Over £800 was raised for church funds last Saturday when St Peter’s Church held its cake stall at Woolley Horse Show.
