COUGARS: Crofton Cougars ARLFC have a home league game tomorrow against Kinsley Raiders, with a 2.30pm kick off.

SPORTS: Crofton Sports AFC tomorrow play away to Gate FC and the second team are at home to old Bank WMC. Meet at the Weavers Green at 1pm for kick offs at 2.30pm. Match sponsors are Sue’s Flowers.

NOSTELL: Fixtures for tomorrow for Nostell Miners Welfare FC’s are as follows. The first team are at home against Thackley, meet at 1.30pm for a kick off at 3pm. The second team are away to Woodhouse Hill, meet at 1pm for a 2.30pm kick off. The third team are at home to College FC meet at 1.15pm for a 2.30pm kick off. On Sunday Nostell Ladies FC are away to Uppermill, kick off 1pm. Wakefield Ladies FC play at Nostell tomorrow against Sheffield Wednesday Ladies, kicking off at 2pm. On Tuesday, October 4 Nostell’s first team host Yorkshire Main in the Sheffield County Senior Cup, meet at 6pm for a 7.30pm kick off.

READING GROUP: Members of Crofton’s Reading Group meet on Wednesday, October 5 to review the first novels of Charlotte, Emily and Ann Bronte.

FORUM: Starts at 7pm until 9pm an area forum meeting on Wednesday, October 5 at Havercroft and Ryhill Sports and Youth Centre starting at 6.30pm until 8.30pm. This meeting gives Crofton residents the chance to meet officers from Wakefield Council, , Police, NHS, Fire Service and Housing. There will also be a chance to look at community funding, and to put forward your ideas on how a pot of funding can be allocated in your area. Go along and have your say.

MINERS ANGLING: The group finished their 2011 matches last Sunday and will resume their new season in June next year.

CROFTON WMC: “Crazy Diamond” a boy/girl duo will be appearing at Crofton WMC tomorrow evening.

CROFTON INFANTS: The school photographer will be in school on Wednesday, October 5 to take individual photographs. Jeans for Genes Day takes place on Friday, October 7.

CROFTON JUNIORS: Rehearsals are now taking place for the “Young Voices” concert in Sheffield during December. Two after school clubs have been formed, which include a Halloween club for five weeks and a street dancing club.

ALL SAINTS: Crofton’s new Priest-in-charge Jennifer Honeyman will be officially appointed on the evening of Thursday, October 6 at St. Peter’s Church in Kirkthorpe at 7.30pm. All welcome
