MEMORIAL: The annual memorial service at St Mary’s Church, Horbury Junction, will be held this year at 3pm on Sunday, October 30. This is an opportunity to remember and give thanks together for loved ones who have died, with refreshments afterwards.
PRIDE: The Pride in Horbury Bridge community group will meet on Tuesday, November 1 in the Bingley Arms public house, Horbury Bridge, at 7.30pm. All are welcome to come along to discuss ways of improving the area and to join them for a social get together.
CHRISTMAS LUNCH: The senior citizens group is holding Christmas celebration dinners on November 20 and 27 at Primrose Hall, Horbury, and have a few tickets available for November 27. HISTORICAL: Horbury Historical Society meet on the first Wednesday of the month in the library at 7.30pm. On Wednesday, November 2, Keith Lister will talk about the early years of Sabine Baring-Gould. The annual subscription is £7.50, or you can guest at a cost of £2 per meeting.
CRAFTS: Homemade Home Workshops is delivering a programme of creative courses at Primrose Hall, Horbury. Each week the classes will be presented by a skilled tutor, exploring different crafts each week including stained glass Christmas decorations, jewellery and Christmas stocking decoration.
