AUTUMN FAIR: St John’s Church are holding their annual Autumn fair tomorrow in the Church hall. The fair runs from 10am to 3pm and there will be hot and cold food served throughout, including their famous hot roast beef sandwiches. There will be bottle and book stalls, tombola, raffle and a chocolate wheel.

CRAFTS: Horbury Heritage Trust Annual Craft Fayre at Primrose Hall, Horbury on Sunday, November 6 from 10am to 4pm. Refreshments served all day and admission is free. There will be 27 stalls offering something for everyone. HHT Trustees ask for community support at this local event which is to raise money towards the Primrose Hall contingency fund.

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING: Horbury Bridge School are holding a Christmas shopping event on Friday, November 11 from 5pm to 8pm. There are a few stalls available to hire, at a cost of £10 so please contact Liz Stearne on 01924 302800. Every one welcome to the sale.

SOCIAL: Horbury Social Club are meeting next Wednesday from 2-4pm in the library and this month’s speaker is John Walsh, who will talk about ‘A view from the Rostrum - Observations of an Auctioneer’.

CONCERT: The Horbury, Sitlington and Ossett branch of the Royal British Legion along with Horbury Victoria Band present an evening of song to celebrate 90 years of the Royal British Legion at Horbury Working Men’s Club, Cluntergate commencing 6.30pm on Sunday, Nov 6. MAJORETTES: Has your former troupe disbanded but you would still like to be part of a majorette troupe? Why not go along to Phoenix Allstars who are looking for new girls to join their troupe for the new season which starts on 1st November. If you like dancing and making new friends why not go along to one of their training sessions Tuesday or Thursday at Primrose Hall, Horbury, or on Sundays, Horbury Bridge Church Hall. They have Tiny troupe, Junior troupe and Senior troupe, girls from 4 to open age will be very welcome. First two training sessions are free. CHAMBER: Representatives from Horbury town centre businesses are invited to the next town meeting in the Saffron Lounge on Monday, November 7 at 5.45pm.
