COFFEE: Every Tuesday morning from 10-11am Dovecote Lodge hold a coffee morning to which everyone is welcome. Admission is £1 and this includes coffee and biscuits and a ticket for the raffle.

POLICE: The next meeting with our local Neighbourhood Police Team will be in Horbury Library next Thursday, January 26 at 7pm.

SPICE DANCERS: SPICE are holding a preview at Horbury High School from 2.45-3.30pm tomorrow afternoon. Both teams will be performing their new shows for the first time in public. Admission is free to children with £1 for adults to help cover costs. They will be recruiting new members from April and this would be an ideal opportunity for any young people who enjoy dancing with a difference to go along to see what an American High School Colour Guard is all about. VISIT: Last week pupils from Horbury Bridge School took part in workshops at Wakefield Cathedral. The children created their own stained glass window designs after looking at some of the beautiful windows in the Cathedral. They focused on colours and the way stories are represented and made a range of sketches and rubbings to help them represent their ideas.

LUNCHEON: A Luncheon Club is held every 4th Tuesday of the month at Horbury Methodist Church Hall. The next one will be at noon on 24th January and will include a two course hot lunch and tea or coffee at a cost of £4. BOWLING: Horbury Bridge Bowls team are looking for new members for the start of the new season in Spring. If you are interested please call the secretary on 01924 271791 for more information. Also, the club would like to pass on their thanks to the local businesses which supported the club in 2011.
